          Reopens after Fire



          World Heritage Site of Cultural Significance Restored





               Notre-Dame  de  Paris  is  a  world       chimera overlooking Paris from the north
          heritage site of cultural significance. The    tower. Climbing the 387 steps to the top

               The  construction  of  Notre-Dame

          began in 1163. It was largely completed in
          1260 and has since been modified many

          times. In addition to Biblical paintings and
          sculptures, the cathedral features original

          pointed rib arches, flying buttresses, and
          details in the corridors and glass windows.

          Its  two  iconic  69-meter  13th-century
          bell towers are known for the 13-ton bell
          housed in the south tower and Le Stryge
