                  two eyes became leader

Legend has it that a woman had three sons: the eldest had one eye,

the second two, and the third three. She did not like the normal-
looking second son, and preferred the two others. Luckily, the

middle child got along well with his grandfather.
One day, his mother told him: "I will take you up to the mountains."

He knew immediately that he was going to be abandoned, but still
did what she told him. Instead of clothes, he packed some grains

of red glutinous rice and a knife in a mesh bag.The pair went into
remote mountains. The mother walked in the front and, behind

her, the son secretly removed weeds, sowed rice seeds, and cut
                                    bamboos to make arrows.

When the two arrived at a platform, he went hunting with the
arrows he had made, and made a fire to roast the game. The

mother asked him to build a hut under the tree, he refused. He said
he should build a tree house instead, and make a fire under the

tree to keep wild animals away.
Later, his mother said that she was leaving. He asked, "Will you

come back again?" She said yes, but left without looking back.
Since then, he lived alone in the mountains and fed himself by
hunting and picking. A few years later, he became a young man.

One day, he felt like returning home and followed the trail of red

glutinous rice. He first went to his grandfather who loved him.
They hugged and cried. Then he went home to his mother. Seeing
her son became a tall and strong grown-up, she said: "I thought
