A Solemn Petition for Rain

in the water of the Zhuokou Stream, except for those who were sick
or pregnant. Soon, a heavy rain fell from the sky, moisturizing the

dry fields. The villagers cheered and thanked their ancestors. They
returned to the village with a good fish harvest, of which the bigger

ones were given to the leader's family, and an equal share of the
rest to the other families. The village shared a meal together.
