the sky, there began to be day and night. When the mission is
accomplished, they followed the 100-year-old orange trees, sown
by their fathers on their way out, for their return journey. They were
gray-haired when they finally made it back to the tribe, and no one
could recognize them. They had to explain that they returned from
the sun-shooting mission. The heroes were then warmly received.
From then on, the Truku men would always sow millet on their
way out for hunting and follow the millet seedlings back home, and
the tribe fill bamboo tube earrings with millet when moving from
one place to another. Indeed, Millet represents the wisdom of Kruku
ancestors that has been passed down through generations.
