marriage proposal; while singing birds in trees is good.

Under her guidance, the Atayal enjoyed good harvests of millet
and corn year after year and a safe and happy life. Rimuy was so

well respected that the chief's son wanted to marry her, but she
said no.

One day, during a harvest festival celebration, a rainbow
appeared in the sky. Rimuy entered the rainbow bridge and walked

north. She soon disappeared along with the rainbow. It was not
until then that the Atayal realized that Rimuy had been sent down

to earth to teach them life skills and norms, and that she had
completed her task and returned. Since then, the Atayal have been

following her teachings, known as gaga, as their daily life rules and
cultural customs.
