Tiyamacan, who was swept away by the waves to the Qingshui
Cliff area.Her parents knew that she had been taken by Felalakac.
They saw her light from afar and ran along the hillside looking
for her. When they finally found Tiyamacan, she said goodbye to
her parents and told them, “From now on, you would know I am
working if you see flashes of light on the eastern sea, I am pounding
rice if you hear thunder in the sky, and the rice that I pound will turn
into small fish swimming to the coast if you see sea foam.”
Tiyamacan then turned around and followed Felalakac to the east.
She disappeared into the sea, leaving behind her mother, filled with
sorrow, transformed into a seabird to watch her, and her father a tree
on a cliff top from where he could always see his daughter from afar.
