III. Statuses of Personnel Numbers, Revenue, and
Expenditure of Indigenous Enterprises
1. Most (77.19%) indigenous enterprises employ less than 5 personnel.
According to the definitions for the categories of SMEs, nearly
80% of indigenous enterprises are micro-enterprises. After
subtracting the enterprises that refused to disclose employee
numbers, 8,898 enterprises created a total of 34,977 job
opportunities.
2. Of all indigenous enterprises, 55.12% have employed personnel,
adding up to a total of 24,690 employees (4,110 in supervisory
positions and 20,580 in non-supervisory positions). Enterprises that
have self-employed personnel or unpaid family workers account for
63.62%, and there are 10,287 self-employed personnel or unpaid
family workers.
3. Of all indigenous enterprises, 98.35% have indigenous personnel.
They have 19,878 indigenous personnel combined (11,742
employees and 8,136 self-employed workers and unpaid family
workers), accounting for 56.85% of the total number of employees.
4. In terms of the total revenue of indigenous enterprises in 2020, "less
than NT$500,000" represented the largest proportion (35.23%),
followed by "NT$1,000,000–NT$2,500,000" (19.01%). The
average annual revenue in 2020 was NT$3,183,800, and the median
was NT$875,000.
5. In terms of the total expenditure of indigenous enterprises in 2020,
"less than NT$500,000" represented the largest proportion
(36.02%), followed by "NT$1,000,000–NT$2,500,000" (21.16%).
The average annual expenditure in 2020 was NT$2,446,600, and
the median was NT$875,000.
