indigenous enterprises have profits and losses at a break-even point.
Enterprises that have made profits every year since opening make
up 18.48%. Those that made profits before starting to make losses
account for 15.71% (the most recent point of turning from making
profits to making losses falls between 2019 and 2020). Enterprises
that have made losses every year since opening account for 9.18%.
Those that turned from making losses to making profits represent
4.91% (the enterprises showed a turn from loss to profit after 4.24
years on average since opening, and the median is 3 years).
7. Of all indigenous enterprises, 51.00% rent or borrow fixed assets,
and most (42.43%) of them rent or borrow office space.
IV. Innovative R&D and Digital Application in Indigenous
Enterprises
1. Of all indigenous enterprises, 29.44% engage in innovative
applications, while 23.93% are not engaged in innovative
applications but have needs for innovation. The innovative
applications and needs are as follows:
(7) Product or service innovation: Of all indigenous enterprises,
16.82% have launched new or technically-upgraded products
or services, while 83.18% have not. Among the enterprises
that have not launched product or service innovation, 10.18%
(917 enterprises) have needs for such innovations.
(8) Manufacturing process or back office operation innovation:
Of all indigenous enterprises, 11.94% have introduced new
or technically-upgraded manufacturing processes or back
office operations, while 88.06% have not. Among enterprises
that have not introduced innovated manufacturing processes
or back office operations, 12.13% (1,093 enterprises) have
needs for such innovations.
