1 Kalinga人是位於菲律賓呂宋島Cordillera山區的多個族群之一，在菲律賓法律中被界定為原住民
族，主要居住在Cordillera山區北邊的Kalinga省。
2 Whang-od是菲律賓Kalinga的傳統拍刺文身師（manwbatok）。以往Kalinga有許多文身師，
但在社會變遷、文身脈絡消失後，仍保有傳統拍刺技藝的文身師成為少數（Salvador-Amores
2013: 6-8）。Whang-od是其中最知名者，許多國內外觀光客慕名前往她所住的偏遠村落，只為
得到她親手拍刺的Kalinga傳統文身圖紋。
