VI. Secondary Employment
In 2019, 14.00% of indigenous people had left the workplace for a
period of time due to various factors, such as marriage, childbirth,
homemaking, caring for family members, injury, illness, retirement, and
others, and hence gained secondary employment, with an average time
away from the workplace of 3.26 years; another 86.00% had not left the
workplace to resume work again due to various factors.
VII. Vocational Training and Others
The following items come from the December 2019 incidental survey
questions.
1. Occupational accidents: 9.39% of the indigenous workforce had
experienced an occupational accident in the workplace as of
December 2019
2. Work safety and occupational disaster prevention advocacy: 41.02%
of indigenous people who were working in December 2019 said they
had received information on work safety and occupational disaster
prevention advocacy, while 58.98% said they had not.
3. Receiving occupational safety and health (OSH)-related courses:
43.85% of indigenous people who were working in December 2019
indicated that they had received OSH-related courses, with "company"
accounting for the largest number of courses (66.40 per 100 people);
56.15% of indigenous people working in December 2019 indicated
that they had not received OSH-related courses, mainly due to "not
receiving course information."
