part-time employment, dispatch work, and temporary work) was
17.47% in 2024, while the proportion of those not engaged in non-
standard employment was 82.53%.
6. Employment in government-provided temporary jobs: In 2024,
1.45% of indigenous workers engaged in government-provided
temporary jobs, and 98.55% did not engage in government-
provided temporary jobs. Among the workers in government-
provided temporary jobs, 94.51% believed that temporary work
was helpful in improving their lives, and 82.69% believed it was
helpful in their future employment.
7. Job-seeking channels: In 2024, the percentage of indigenous
people who found their current jobs through "introduction by
relatives, friends, or mentors" was the highest, at 46.62%; this was
followed by "self-referral and inquiry," at 20.35%; and "civil job
banks (including online websites)," at 17.84%.
IV. Unemployment Situation
There were 298,391 indigenous labor force members in 2024, of
which 10,249 were unemployed, which equals to an unemployment rate of
3.43%. Compared to the 2024 unemployment rate of 3.38% for the entire
population, the unemployment rate for indigenous people was slightly
higher by 0.05 percentage points.
