5.  Past work experience: 88.24% of unemployed indigenous people

                             were  non-first  time  job  seekers  (i.e.,  they  had  past  work

                             experience).  The  main  reason  for  employees  to  leave  their


                             previous  job  voluntarily  was  "inadequate  compensation"

                             (10.85%), followed by " desire to change workplace" (8.59%),

                             and "illness or injury" (8.06%); the main reason for employees to


                             leave their previous job non-voluntarily was "end of seasonal or

                             temporary work” (16.42%), followed by "cost-cutting measures

                             or  closure"  (13.45%);  a  further  1.12%  were  self-employed  (or

                             employers)  who  moved  to  other  jobs,  and  0.41%  were  unpaid

                             family workers who moved to other jobs.



                         6.  Most desired job category: Among the unemployed indigenous

                             people  in  2024,  the  most  desired  job  category  was  "catering,

                             tourism, and sports" (24.06%), followed by "construction jobs"


                             (16.15%), "administrative operations" (10.16%), and "domestic

                             services" (9.42%).


                         7.  Primary source of income during periods of unemployment: The


                             main  source  of  income  of  unemployed  indigenous  people  in

                             general (including the unemployed and those who want and are

                             ready to start working at any time but are not actively seeking

                             employment)  during  unemployment  was  "family  assistance"

                             (53.78%), followed by "savings" (39.87%) and "assistance from


                             friends and relatives" (13.78%).

                         In  2024,  there  were  168,324  indigenous  persons  outside  the  labor
